I was looking through the entries to the close ups contest when I saw this picture. It made me think of one word: Elegant. This flower makes me think of spires in a beautiful old church or Arabian palace. The colors is so pure and the angle is great. I like the way it comes in from the right, because as a western reader, I see the tip first and take it in that way. This is a well composed and very friendly piece.
